Total Yacht Care Limited ("Total Yacht Care", "we", "us", "our") operates a vessel maintenance logging and inspection management application (the “App”) designed for boat owners and marine service clients.

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with:

  • Google Play Developer Policies

  • Google API Services User Data Policy

  • New Zealand Privacy Act 2020

  • Applicable international data protection laws

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

When using the App, we may collect:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Vessel name and specifications

  • Marina or mooring location

  • Maintenance logs and inspection records

  • Service recommendations

  • Uploaded photos

  • Uploaded documents (e.g., reports, invoices, manuals)

  • Messages between client and Total Yacht Care

B. Google Account Information (If You Use Google Sign-In)

If you choose to sign in with Google, we may collect:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Profile ID

We only access this information for authentication and account creation.

C. Google Drive Access (If Enabled)

If you grant permission, we may:

  • Upload inspection reports to your Google Drive

  • Retrieve documents that you explicitly select

We do NOT access your entire Drive.
We do NOT scan or monitor files.
We only access files required to deliver requested features.

We comply fully with the Google API Services User Data Policy.

D. Automatically Collected Information

We may collect:

  • Device type

  • Operating system

  • App version

  • IP address

  • Usage analytics

  • Crash logs

  • Diagnostic data

This information helps us improve performance and security.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  • Provide vessel inspection services

  • Log and track maintenance checks

  • Notify you of required maintenance

  • Generate reports

  • Enable document storage and retrieval

  • Provide customer support

  • Improve app functionality

  • Meet legal and compliance obligations

We do NOT sell personal information.
We do NOT use data for advertising.

3. Google API Services User Data Compliance

If the App accesses Google APIs:

  • We only request the minimum scope required

  • We do not use Google user data for advertising

  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except:

    • To provide the App’s core functionality

    • For legal compliance

    • With explicit user consent

We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless:

  • You request support

  • It is required for security investigation

  • We have your explicit consent

We do not retain Google user data longer than necessary.
