Marine Services Foreman

Total Yacht Care is growing rapidly, and we're looking for an experienced leader to help take our operations to the next level. Based in Opua, Bay of Islands, we provide premium maintenance, detailing, restoration and marine services across Northland. With demand continuing to increase, we're seeking a practical, hands-on Marine Foreman who can lead our team, maintain high standards, and help us build a stronger operation for the future.

This role is ideal for someone with a marine, boatbuilding, engineering, trades or maintenance background who enjoys leading people and getting the best out of a team.

Key Responsibilities

This role is both strategic and practical. You will be expected to understand what is happening on the floor while also improving systems, workflow and business performance. Initially, your focus will be on gaining control of daily operations and building strong relationships with the team. Over time, the role will expand into greater responsibility for planning, performance management, systems improvement and business growth.

What We’re Looking For

• Management experience within the marine or trade industry 

• Strong leadership skills

• ​Coach, mentor and develop team members.

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a hands-on environment

• Strong communication skills across all levels of staff and customers

• Confidence working between office systems and workshop operations

• Experience in marine, boatbuilding, engineering, trades or similar environments is highly valued

• A practical leader who can both think strategically and act on the floor when needed
